This is my Grandma's recipe--an old time family favorite.
Ingredients
- 3/4 cups light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup dark corn syrup
- 4 eggs
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1-1/2 teaspoons flour
- 1-1/4 teaspoons vanilla
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- unbaked pie pastry in 9" pan
- whipped cream for garnish (optional)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In large mixing bowl, combine light & dark corn syrup, eggs, brown sugar, flour, and vanilla; beat well with electric mix (approx. 1 minute on med-high speed). Stir in melted butter and pecans. Pour into prepared pie shell. Bake 45-55 minutes until golden brown and puffed all over; when jiggled gently, center should be firm with no visible liquid moving. Cool. Serve plain or with whipped cream.
