Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons pesto (purchase prepared pesto; or, to make your own go to www.theyummylife.com/recipes/7)
- 8 oz. package of cream cheese or Neufchtel cream cheese (Neufchatel is softer than regular cream cheese and has 1/3 less fat)
Directions
Bring cream cheese to room temperature and mix it with the pesto. Stir until well combined. Store covered in the refrigerator.
For quick appetizers: Spread the pesto cream cheese on crackers. Top with sliced veggies, chopped nuts, olives, sliced apple . . . use your imagination. (NOTE: Assemble these just before serving; if made too far ahead, the crackers will get soggy.)
